New Tuesday Run Session
As the summer roles around it's time to enjoy Park life! We've got some new routes and new sessions planned that will shift focus throughout the year to improve your VO2 max, running efficiency & aerobic threshold, perfect for improving your 5km to 1/2 Marathon times. We'll be throwing in some testing, technique work & S&C too.
When & Where?
We meet at Sefton Park Iron Bridge every Tuesday at 6.30pm. Our sessions rotate each week and are generally focused on speed work. Details of sessions below.
Our sessions rotate each week and are generally focused on speed work and involve a variety of repetitions or ‘intervals’ of up to 5 minutes at a relatively fast pace with short recovery breaks in between. Over the course of an hour long session, you can expect to run between 6km to 12km including a slow jog to warm up and cool down. The sessions cater for runners of all abilities with sessions designed to allow everyone within the group to run at their own pace. Please note, there are no changing facilities available.

How do I join in?
We welcome all runners and our run sessions are FREE! You DO NOT need to be a North Endurance member to run with the group, but we do require you to simply provide a few details by completing our run registration form.

Q.HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN?
A. Nothing. It’s FREE!.. though you may want to bring some change for a post session ice cream! Otherwise, all we will ask you to do is complete the form above. We’d obviously love you to join the team and represent us when competing which you can do HERE. Otherwise you may wish to make a small contribution as a patron HERE.
Q. WILL I JUST SLOW EVERYONE DOWN?
A. Absolutely not! Our sessions are structured to cater for runners of all ability. Typically we ask that runners can complete a 5km in under 30mintutes, or 10km in under 1Hour 10mins. We appreciate you may be nervous turning up for the first time, but our run leader and runners will make you feel welcome. Don’t delay joining in, there is no need to go training.. to go training!
Q. I’M RETURNING FROM INJURY / HAVE A JUST RACED / HAVE A RACE… SHOULD I STILL RUN?
A. If returning to fitness, recovering, or conserving energy prior to a race we are happy to advise how to adjust the sessions to meet your needs.

A. Unfortunately not. Please come dressed appropriately for the current weather conditions.
Q. I’M COMING FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS WEEK, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
A. Please complete the form using link above. If you have not submitted your contact, medical, and emergency information, the run leader will be able to take your details on the first session ahead prior to you completing the registration form.
Q. WHEN DO YOU RUN?
A. Every Tuesday. As part of the group, you’ll likely make friends to run, swim and cycle with outside of these sessions. Details of any single day training days we’ll post out to group and team members. Stay connected using links below.
Q. IS the session always on?
A. We run in all weather. In the event of snow or ice, we’ll review conditions and confirm if the session is safe to go ahead. We'll be in touch by email, social media or text if there is ever any changes to session plans.
Q. I’M A MEMBER OF ANOTHER CLUB, CAN I STILL JOIN IN THE SESSIONS?
A. We can accommodate anyone regardless of other affiliations as long as they have completed the run registration form (link above) or provide an emergency contact number and any medical conditions at their first session. Feel free to bring a friend or colleague!
