Why Coach

My passion in life is to understand the physiological basis of human performance. I chose to pursue this through my career as an academic, in which I research how to optimise performance and health through training and nutrition. As my experience in triathlon has grown, I saw coaching as a way for me to combine my hobby as an athlete, my previous coaching experience, and my professional research experience to ultimately help others achieve their athletic potential.

My approach to coaching is evidence-based and holistic. I use my sports science background to develop my plans but recognise the athletes I coach are human first before they are athletes. Work, education, family life, and other responsibilities are equally important pieces of the puzzle, and getting the balance right yields the greatest results. My athletes also benefit from my professional experience as a sports nutritionist and can learn how to maximise their training and recovery by developing world-class nutrition habits.
