Coached athlete success at Outlaw Triathlon

On Sunday we had 3 coached athletes taking on Outlaw Long Distance Triathlon in Nottingham. Early rain and a relentless wind made conditions tricky, but with family and friends in support, all executed great performances to finish with well-deserved results.🙌

For Michael and Connor, it would be their first foray into Long Distance Triathlon, both having taken up triathlon less than a year ago 😳! Both have trained exceptionally well and shown an abundance of enthusiasm towards the NE community, new disciplines, and interest in the technical aspects of the sport, all while balancing training around new work and family commitments. 🤙

Michael finished with a brilliant Sub 11 debut of 10:55:37 💥

Connor put a strong swim and run to good use, finishing in an awesome 12:28:28🔥... not bad for someone who didn't own a bike 12 months ago!👊

For Carl, it was an opportunity to bounce back. His attitude and consistency have been superb throughout the year, and it was gutting to see his disappointment after an unfortunate DNF at IMUK due to a mechanical, but he jumped straight back into training for 3 weeks and entered Outlaw 💪. With little time to recce the course, we briefed him and gave him some course cues as he set out with something to prove. He finished in a superb 12:66:44, knocking over 2 hours over his previous Long Distance PB, crossing the line with his family. 😍

Well done to all, thanks to all who supported, and the marshalls and event organisers for another fantastic event 👏👏
